We began with the possibility of NOT writing : hence our timely arrival. Having chosen between apples & oranges, and opting for beef, we now sit at the feast of social construction, napkins on our heads. We give grace to our silent potentials, then eat them raw with an air of arrogant indifference. The scraps, bones and tendons, the parts of the animal they don't sell in stores, these constitute the foundation of make-up to which I will apply the blush of ontological negation, the no, the I-am-not, saddened and victimized individual eyeliner of intention. All of this just to say : we don't look like this in the morning; we're actually quite ugly but we like ourselves.

Ah, Tristan Tzara- good stuff.
Quick clarifier though, he was a founder of the Dada movement (the manifesto he wrote for the movement can be read here: [link]) that set the stage for the surrealists, which he joined once it emerged. So he's usually referred to as a dadaist poet- not a big deal, most people are more familiar with the term surrealist than dadaist (which actually indicates they were at least partly successful in their project- to destroy art in any formalized, and therefore "recognized" way- but the fact that I know this means they were not entirely successful- how's that for a mind-f*) but I do find the Dada stuff has a bit more of an edge to it- in a tasty kind of way ;)

This is a video made by a friend of mine that has a kind of Dada quality to it: [link]
This might be a slightly easier way to watch that video online: [link]
NICE!! thanx for that clarification....i'm gonna check out that link.

No prob- I think you'll enjoy it.
I was pleased to see that you found Tristan. A friend loaned me the book "Chanson Dada" ([link]) quite awhile back, totally changed how I looked at words/language/art- keep going, keep going :D
